Almost 2 months...

Almost 2 months already that we set foot on the Swiss soil! A hospitalization at the CHUV, exams here and there, a gastroscopy, an appointment in Basel... Gabriel is brave and enduring. He even talks about the doctors by saying "my doctors"! We don't have all the results yet and we haven't found anything more concrete. We will keep you informed of the outcome.

Our week in England went very well. Thanks to Grandma Monique for taking care of our 4 boys while we went back to the "school benches". We learned a lot of good tools to continue serving in Liberia: mission strategy, how to integrate all cultures in a multicultural team, how to create projects based on biblical values such as unity, trust, diversity, complementarity, how to stay faithful to our vision, ...

Change

If SIM Liberia was a boat, we can now officially announce that Nicolas, assisted by Melvina, will take over the helm in September this year. It is a decision that we have carefully thought through! The ship is being renovated and the crew is multicultural (Liberia / Switzerland / England / USA / Congo / Nigeria / Australia / Canada). Our first major tasks will therefore be to define our course and build a relationship of trust with our crew members. We want to keep everyone on board!

On our boat, a local school, a hospital, a dental clinic, a local radio, a theological institute and two guesthouses!

Approximate duration of the boat: 5 years.
